Remotely nestled in the mountains at the south end of the Potomac Highlands the Yew Mountain Lodge offers scenic, restful, Bed and Breakfast accommodation to naturalist, hiker, biker, cyclist, vacationer or those simply wishing to get away from the hectic work-a-day world.

Located near Hillsboro, on Lobelia Road just off (3.5 miles) US219 near Droop Mountain Battlefield State Park, 25 miles north of historic Lewisburg, 18 miles and 40 miles south of Marlinton and Snowshoe respectively; the lodge is situated at the south western tip of Pocahontas County near to the nine hundred thousand acre Monongahela National Forest.
Sited just to the north of the Pocahontas and Greenbrier County line, the Yew Mountain Lodge is an ideal lodging accommodation location to be used as a base to tour the area.

Yew Mountain Lodge is set on 500 privately owned acres which have an elevation change of a thousand feet and is laced with trails, streams and has a number of ponds that create a hide-away nature environment for wildlife and exploration by those with interest in animals, bird watching, reptiles, or trees and plant life.

For the fisherman, the Cranberry River flowing east / west and which is known for trout fishing, has its headwaters starting at the Cranberry Glades Botanical and Wildlife Area which is 3 miles how the crow flies from Yew Mountain Lodge, but within an easy drive of twenty miles by road.
Additionally, both the Cranberry Boardwalk at Cranberry Glades Botanical and Wildlife Area and the Greenbrier River and Trail which is accessible 8 miles away from Yew Mountain Lodge at Beard (Hillsboro) are ideal locations for the
birdwatching enthusiast.
